When I was a child of about 7 or 8 years, during the summer months I used to lie on the grass in our garden and stare up at the sky. I watched the clouds float by while creating dreams and images in my imagination. I don’t, of course, do this anymore, but whatever happened to our childhood dreams?

I know what its like to have a goal or a dream that you’ve always wanted to achieve. The passion you feel in your heart and the images you create in your mind can help to keep that vision alive.
However, somewhere along the way, the stories we tell ourselves (or others tell us) about not being ‘good enough’, ‘clever enough’ or ‘grow up you’re and adult now’ take away the passion and instead your dreams become:
> unfulfilled
> unrealised
> unaccomplished
Until you take some ACTION and DO something about it!
Watching the Commonwealth Games and European Championships the last few weeks confirmed once again that whenever you become committed to a goal or a dream, you have more chances of success. But it often takes hard work.
My dad had great plans for his daughters, but as a child I felt awkward and was often labelled shy as I wouldn’t speak much. However, learning to play the piano and dancing classes gave me a voice in which to express myself.
It wasn’t until I had become divorced with 2 young children, that I discovered where my real strengths lie, in using these skills to earn an income and become financially secure. My Father’s words would often ring in my my mind, ‘you can do anything if you just put your mind to it”.
The strength you are seeking is already inside you. Dreams from long ago can be achieved because when your mind is truly made up ‘there’s no stopping you!‘
