A brand new year gives us an opportunity to go for the goals that we wanted to achieve last year. No need to beat yourself up if you didn’t achieve these goals, but what’s important is not that you didn’t achieve them, but that you are not giving up and you are carry on in 2023.
However, there are the mind road block fears that sometimes intimidate us? To name a few, changing career, returning to Uni, starting a new relationship or trying to lose weight. If road blocks in your life did not exist, what would you do, what would you accomplish? How would your life be different?

When feeling indecisive we often feel lost and down – the moment you make a decision, you begin to feel positive, hopeful as if new life had entered you. Indecisiveness can make us feel fearful. And fear comes when you haven’t made a decision or come to some conclusion. So how can we eliminate our fears , anxieties and limiting beliefs, that hold us back from achieving what our heart truly desires, because of lack of belief in ourselves? As Dale Carnegie once said:
“Do the thing you fear and continue to do so. This is the quickest and surest way of all victory over fear.”
The Three Self’s
Self-Belief is vital when getting rid of these mind block fears to achieve a goal and reaching for what you really want. But to have self belief you also need to develop Self-Worth. You have to dig down deep and find out what it is that you can do, who you are and what it is that you really want. Because what we feel we want can sometimes be a reflection of what someone already has. We unknowingly try to mirror what someone else is doing or being, so that we don’t feel left out or that we feel whole.
You’ve got to like yourself and to know that you can move forward in your life without mirroring another person. But to do this, you have to get rid of the limiting beliefs, these negative thoughts inside your head that just keep coming back again and again, preventing you from believing in yourself, preventing you from going in the direction that you really want to go.
So self-belief in what you want to achieve and self worth in knowing that you are capable of achieving. With those two then add Self-Confidence. With self-confidence you can move forward and achieve what it is that you want. It doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks or says, all that matters is what you think and the burning desire that you have to make it happen. What you innately think about yourself will either keep you in a stuck state or move you forward in your life.
