Welcoming a new year where anything is possible

A new year brings what I like to call, another chance, another opportunity to create the life that you want. Its a feeling of newness where anything is possible. The idea that we have 12 months before we complete a goal for the year can create a feeling of “I have lots of time, a whole 12 months!” However, from personal experience those 12 months really do move fast and before you know it, the end of the year has arrived and you haven’t completed your goals. Or haven’t even started!

Don’t delay do it today!

Discovering who you are becoming

So how can we keep ourselves motivated as we go through the year? Try remembering the emotion, the passion you felt when you first thought of your goals. Aligning your goals with your deepest desires, or passions transforms the journey into an adventure, rather than a chore. Also the beauty lies not just in reaching the destination but in discovering every step along the way to the person you are becoming. Try sharing your dreams with someone dear—a friend or family member. Together you can celebrate the victories, big or small, and let the shared joy fuel your determination.

Increasing self belief

In this journey of new beginnings, understand that setbacks are only gentle nudges, not roadblocks. Be aware of comparing yourself to others or worrying about who’s doing better than you – because you are on the path to doing better than you were last year!

“As you embark on this new chapter, don’t be afraid to to dream big. Your goals should be as audacious as the life you are longing to lead”

Brene Brown

So as you step into a new year, leave behind all negative thoughts and opinions about yourself. Honour your commitment to take care of yourself in word, action and respect. As you weave dreams into achievable goals, you pave the way for a year that promises not just change, but a genuine, gentle transformation from the inside out.

  1. Ruby, Confidence is never arrogant. I believe it’s a quiet inner feeling of knowing you are capable. I am not there yet but as your book says your greater is coming !

    1. Thanks for your thoughts! I agree confidence is an inner feeling of assurance and sooner or later great things are going to come your way when you believe in yourself and abilities xx
