Mandela once said, “your play small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightening about shrinking so that others will not feel insecure around you”.
As a self development coach I am always encouraging women to release any barriers that are preventing them from achieving what they want in life. Barriers such as cycles of negative thinking or limiting beliefs that keep them in a stuck state, preventing them from making changes and moving forward in their life.

However, when trying to make changes about ourselves, doing something new or different, i.e. changing our hair colour or our style of clothing, we might be thinking ‘what will people think of me?’ Or in our careers we may feel ‘who am I to think I could ever land that job or earn that level of income’?
Why should it matter what others think? Be who you want to be! You are a unique individual with your own unique qualities and talents. You have something to bring to society, that no one else can because there will only ever be one of you. You can treasure your skills and talents, that you have something different to offer the world.
If you are constantly worrying about ‘what others think of you’ you may:
- Stunt your self development
- Stay in a stuck place
- Unable to move forward for fear of judgement or criticism
So, instead, focus on developing ROCK SOLID CONFIDENCE
ROCK – immovable in your purpose,
SOLID – having a strong mindset,
CONFIDENCE – willing to push past fears.

It doesn’t matter what others think of you – but, it does matter what you think of yourself. Be your best friend – not your worst critic!
If you would like support in eliminating thoughts/beliefs that are holding you back in your life, leave a message and together we can knock those limiting thoughts/beliefs out of your way!
